Lexus NX 300

 

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2018 Lexus NX a best-possible 5-Star Overall Rating and reports there have been no recalls, complaints, or investigations on the model. Additionally, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the NX 300 a 2018 Top Safety Pick.

All models of the 2018 Lexus NX are equipped with the Lexus Safety System+, bundling a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Lane Keep Assist, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and intelligent high beams.

BMW X3

The NHTSA has not evaluated the 2018 X3 but has reported one complaint and one recall on the BMW SUV. The complaint states that the model’s brakes failed in traffic, causing an accident and two injuries. The complaint also says that the vehicle’s front crash prevention system failed in this instance.

Additionally, there was a recall in November 2017 due to a software error in the instrument panel that prevented warning signals from illuminating. The IIHS has not evaluated the 2018 X3.

Lexus NX 300

Standard entertainment and connectivity features on the NX 300 include Lexus Display Audio with an 8-inch display, Scout GPS Link navigation with MapStream and TurnStream, Remote Touchpad controls, 8-speaker premium sound, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, Siri Eyes Free, and subscription-free traffic and weather.

Additionally, all models include Lexus Enform Safety Connect, Service Connect, Remote, and Destination Assist telematics systems.

BMW X3

The X3 comes standard with AM/FM radio, CD player, HiFi sound system, pre-wiring for Sirius XM Radio, and HD Radio. It also includes USB and Bluetooth connectivity, BMW TeleService, and ConnectedDrive Services. The base model does not include navigation or traffic and weather information systems.
