The TLX utilizes a base 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with front-wheel-drive. This base powertrain produces 206-hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. An optional powertrain consists of 3.5-liter V6 teamed with a nine-speed automatic transmission which makes 290-hp and 267 lb-ft of torque with the option for either a front-wheel or all-wheel drivetrain.
